    Tapered Heat-Set Threaded Insert Assortments with Installation Tools

    A variety of tapered insert sizes that are easy to guide into holes with the included installation tools. Use a drill bit to make a straight hole, then taper the top half. Once installed, heat the insert with a soldering tip to melt the surrounding plastic.
    Brass—Conductive and nonmagnetic, these inserts are useful for electrical applications. They resist moisture but aren't as strong as steel inserts.

    Keep a variety of heat-set insert sizes and installation tools on hand. Press inserts into straight holes that have been drilled, printed, or molded into your plastic part. Once installed, heat the insert with a soldering tip to melt the surrounding plastic.
    Flanged Profile—Flanges on the insert create a load-bearing surface that prevents cracks or deformation in the base material. They also curb overtightening and keep inserts from getting pulled out or through.
