    Heat-Shrink Crimp-On Butt Splices

A step up in grip strength and strain relief over standard butt splices. After crimping your splice, apply a heat gun to shrink the plastic and grip wire securely under tension and vibration. The heat shrink also protects wire from the drips, dirt, and scuffs that lead to fraying, poor conductivity, and short circuits.
Nylon Insulation—In addition to preventing short circuits, this wear-resistant insulation protects wire from vibration and rubbing against nearby edges.
Polyolefin Insulation—A durable, economical choice when you don't need the extra wear resistance of nylon.
With Window—Troubleshoot bad connections without removing your splice. The splice has a cutout where the wires meet, so you can confirm at a glance that they're crimped evenly and haven't loosened.

    Tight-Hold Heat-Shrink Butt Splices

Our strongest-gripping butt splices secure wire through heavy vibration and sharp tugs.
Solder and Crimp-On Connection—The tightest hold you can get. First, squeeze the splice firmly and evenly onto the wire with a crimping tool. Next, melt the heat-shrink insulation and enclosed solder to add even more stiffness and strength.
Polyolefin Insulation—The durable plastic maintains a tight grip on the wire so it stays put when pulled or vibrated.

    Heat-Shrink-Insulation Terminal and Splice Kits

For use where water and contaminants are a concern, the terminals and splices in these kits have insulation that shrinks and creates a tight seal when heated. Use a crimping tool (included with some kits) to install wire.
    Barrel Insulated, Fully Insulated
Image of Product. Front orientation. Terminal and Splice Kits. Heat-Shrink-Insulation Terminal and Splice Kits.
Barrel-insulated terminals have a plastic cover to prevent short-circuiting with nearby wire.
Fully insulated terminals have a connection tab that’s completely covered, leaving no metal exposed when mated.
Nylon/Polyolefin Insulation—Nylon/polyolefin insulation is more durable than polyolefin insulation.

An upgrade in strength and strain relief over standard reducing splices. After crimping your splice, apply a heat gun or butane torch to shrink the plastic and grip wire securely under tension and vibration. The heat shrink also protects wire from the drips, dirt, and scuffs that lead to fraying, poor conductivity, and short circuits. Also known as step-down splices, reducing splices join a larger wire and a smaller wire end to end. Colored stripes differentiate the larger and smaller openings so you don't have to measure and mark them yourself.

Tight-Hold Heat-Shrink-Insulation Terminal and Splice Kits

Keep on hand a variety of different sized terminals and splices with the most secure, sealed connection we offer. Heat the outside and the enclosed solder melts to secure your wire. The insulation also shrinks when heated, keeping out water and contaminants.
Ring, quick-disconnect, and spade terminals have insulation covering the barrel to prevent short circuiting with nearby wire. Butt splices have a fully insulated connection tab, so no metal is exposed when they’re mated.

    Crimp-On Butt Splices

Extend a run or repair damaged wire instead of installing a new line. Squeeze the wire splice with a crimping tool for a secure end-to-end connection.
Vinyl Plastic Insulation—Our basic insulation covers the wire to prevent short circuits. It won’t break down from dirt, grime, and occasional twists and tugs.
Nylon Insulation—In addition to preventing short circuits, this wear-resistant insulation protects wire from vibration and rubbing against nearby edges.

    Tight-Hold Heat-Shrink Wire Connectors

Image of Product. Front orientation. Wire Splices, Connectors, and Taps. Tight-Hold Heat-Shrink Wire Connectors.
Our tightest-holding connectors secure wire through heavy vibration and sharp tugs. Apply a heat gun or butane torch to shrink the insulation and firmly grip the wire. As the connector heats up, the enclosed solder melts around the wire for a stronger, more rigid connection than unsoldered wire.

    Fully Insulated

Squeeze these splices onto thicker wire than crimp-on butt splices—up to 4/0 AWG. Check the color coding and wire gauge on the splice to match it with the right compression tool.
Nylon Insulation—In addition to preventing short circuits, this wear-resistant insulation protects wire from vibration and rubbing against nearby edges.

    Reducing Crimp-On Butt Splices

Image of Product. Front orientation. Wire Splices, Connectors, and Taps. Reducing Crimp-On Butt Splices, Fully Insulated.

    Fully Insulated

Connect two components with different wire sizes, such as a large air compressor and its control panel. Also known as step-down splices, these splices join a larger wire and a smaller wire end to end. Colored stripes differentiate the larger and smaller openings so you don't have to measure and mark them yourself. Attach your wire with a crimping tool to avoid a damaged splice and loose connection.
Vinyl Plastic Insulation—Our basic insulation covers the wire to prevent short circuits. It won’t break down from dirt, grime, and occasional twists and tugs.

Unlike other crimp-on butt splices, a grease filler repels moisture to prevent corrosion and keep your wire dry and conductive. Attach your wire with a crimping tool to avoid a damaged splice and loose connection.
