Slide onto panels and doors for a secure fit without holes, screws, or glue. Made of a single piece of plastic, these hinges have no pins to rust or collect debris and never need lubrication. The flexible joint operates silently, unlike metal hinges that can creak or squeak. However, these are not as strong as piano hinges with pins.
PETG—Chemical and impact resistant. Softer than acrylic hinges, these are less likely to crack but can get scratched.
Acrylic Plastic—A good choice for lightweight, see-through panels and covers. These hinges are strong and scratch resistant, but they can crack from impact.
PVC—Our most chemical-resistant plastic piano hinges won't degrade when exposed to strong acids and bases.

These rod end bolts are good for wet and corrosive environments—for maximum mounting flexibility, cut the fully threaded shaft to whatever length you need. Also known as swing bolts and eyebolts, rod end bolts have no moving parts. They're designed to make pivoting or hinge movements in applications that don't need to compensate for misalignment.
Brass—Brass rod end bolts resist corrosion in humid and wet environments, but not as well as stainless steel bolts. They're also not as strong. Often, brass bolts are chosen for their look, or to match other components, such as hinges.
303 Stainless Steel and 304 Stainless Steel—303 and 304 stainless steel rod end bolts won't rust in humid, wet, and washdown environments. They're stronger than brass bolts and nearly as strong as steel. They will rust when exposed to salt water and chemicals, however.
Black-Oxide 303 Stainless Steel—Black-oxide 303 stainless steel rod end bolts have a matte-black finish that adds some corrosion resistance but is mostly chosen for its looks.
17-4 PH Stainless Steel—17-4 PH stainless steel rod end bolts have the most tensile strength—a similar amount to high-strength alloy steel. They also won’t rust in humid, wet, and washdown environments. Even at high temperatures, they maintain their excellent strength and corrosion resistance, so they’re often used in automotive drive trains and heat exchangers. However, they’ll rust when exposed to salt water and chemicals.
316 Stainless Steel—316 stainless steel rod end bolts are our most corrosion resistant, and they're nearly as strong as steel rod end bolts. Use them in areas with salt water, chlorine, and chemicals without worrying about rust.
ASTM A193, ASTM A276, ASTM A564, ASTM A582, and ASTM B16—ASTM rod end bolts meet a standard for material.

For ease of installation, these rod ends come with a compatible jam nut. They have an eyelet and a ball that swivel to support angular misalignment. All are carbon steel, so they handle higher loads than stainless steel, aluminum, and nylon rod ends. However, they don’t resist corrosion. They need to be lubricated when first installed and periodically after that. Apply any type of bearing grease to the ball, and rotate it to work it into the races.

A carbon fiber-reinforced insert or PTFE liner reduces wear, handles shock loads, and eliminates the need for lubrication. Made of steel, these rod ends generally handle higher loads than stainless steel, aluminum, and nylon rod ends. All are zinc plated, so they resist corrosion for a short time before the finish is consumed and the steel is exposed.

With a rubber bushing, these bolts reduce noise and vibration—attach them to rods, pipes, tubes, and cable linkages that have male threading. They also allow for changes in alignment. Use them in hydraulic systems, steering pumps, control cables, vehicle suspensions, and pivot and hinge movements. They’re commonly known as isolated rod ends.

Seals keep out dirt and an oil-embedded polyester foam insert slowly releases lubricant for a long life. You can remove the insert to add more oil if it starts to run dry. These rod ends have an eyelet and a ball that swivels to support angular misalignment. Made of zinc-plated steel, they have moderate corrosion resistance.

With at least 55° of ball swivel, these rod ends accommodate greater misalignment than any other externally threaded rod end we offer. They generally handle higher loads than stainless steel, aluminum, and nylon rod ends. A PTFE liner allows smooth ball rotation and eliminates the need for lubrication.
Zinc-Plated Alloy Steel—Zinc-plated steel rod ends provide more corrosion resistance than black-oxide steel.

These steel rod ends handle loads that are at least 25% higher than other comparably sized rod ends. PTFE allows smooth rotation and eliminates the need for lubrication.
Nylon/PTFE Insert—Rod ends with Nylon/PTFE insert have a durable, self-sealing insert that reduces wear.
Zinc-Plated Alloy Steel Insert—Rod ends with zinc-plated steel insert provide moderate corrosion resistance.

For maximum mounting flexibility, cut the fully threaded shaft to whatever length you need. Also known as swing bolts and eyebolts, rod end bolts have no moving parts. They're designed to make pivoting or hinge movements in applications that don't need to compensate for misalignment.
