    Hole Saw Pilot for Enlarging Holes

    Easily enlarge an existing hole by giving your hole saw a stable, centered base. These pilots turn the smaller hole saw you used to make the original hole into an anchor for your larger hole saw. First, attach the larger hole saw to your arbor. Then replace your arbor’s pilot drill bit with the pilot. The smaller hole saw threads onto the pilot upside down, so the teeth face away from the material being cut. When you start to cut the larger hole, the smaller hole saw will slip into the existing hole and keep your arbor and larger hole saw aligned.
    These pilots fit all brands of threaded hole saws.
    Thread Adapters—Thread adapter is required for use on 1 1/8" diameter and larger hole saws to adapt 1/2"-20 threads to 5/8"-18 threads.

These arbors connect your hole saw to a drill or drill press, and they include a pilot drill bit that centers your cut and guides the saw. When the bit gets dull, you can pull it out without any special tools—just pull back on the quick-release collar. These arbors fit all brands of threaded and unthreaded hole saws.
