Wire hooks, also known as J-hooks, have a wide hook end that keeps them stable on rails, lips, rings, and eyelets.
Slip On—Slip-on hooks can be secured to webbing without sewing. Slide the eye of your webbing through the split in the hook. They’re often used to adapt E-track straps for other attachment points.
Plastic-Coated Steel—Plastic-coated steel hooks won’t scratch surfaces. However, the coating can peel away with heavy use, exposing the steel to rust.
