Wall-Mount Motion-Sensing Light Controls
Also known as occupancy sensors, these controls turn lights on when movement is detected and off when an area is empty. They fit standard wall plates. All have a manual time delay that will turn lights off after a set amount of inactivity.
Dimming light controls adjust the light’s brightness.
Controls with infrared sensors detect changes in heat and require a direct view of the occupants. Controls with infrared/ultrasonic sensors detect changes in heat as well as motion to minimize false activations. You can set them to use one or both detection methods to activate and keep lights on.
Controls with an automatic time delay can turn lights off automatically based on usage patterns.
For light controls with 24V DC input voltage, you'll need a power controller to switch a 120- or 277-volt AC lighting circuit. Power controllers have a relay that switches a maximum 20-amp load.

Multi-Way Wall-Mount Motion-Sensing Light Controls

Control lights on a single circuit from more than one motion-sensing switch. Also known as occupancy sensors, these controls turn lights on when movement is detected and off when an area is unoccupied. The infrared sensors detect changes in heat sources and require a direct view of the occupants. Use up to four controls on the same circuit to detect motion in large rooms. All have a time delay to turn lights off after a set time.

Smart Wall-Mount Motion-Sensing Light Controls

Customize motion-sensing light controls from your smartphone or tablet. These light controls connect to a free downloadable app using Bluetooth. Use the app to set schedules, control multiple lights remotely, and override the sensor function so you can manually turn lights on or off in the room. Also known as occupancy sensors, they also work without the app—they turn lights on when they detect movement and off when the area is unoccupied. These light controls fit in standard wall plates.
Controls with infrared sensors detect changes in heat sources and require a direct view of people occupying the space to activate.
Controls with infrared/ultrasonic sensors minimize false activation by detecting changes in heat sources and motion. They can be set so that only one or both detection methods are required to activate and hold lights on.

Wall-Mount Motion- and Light-Sensing Light Controls

Never worry about turning lights on and off again. These controls turn lights on when people enter the room and off when rooms are empty or are bright enough. They use both an infrared motion sensor to detect the presence of people and a light sensor to determine ambient light. They have a swivel bracket to aim the sensor where people will be.
Power controllers (sold separately) are required to switch a 120- or 277-volt AC lighting circuit. They have a relay that switches a maximum 20 amp load.
Washdown Wall-Mount Motion- and Light-Sensing Light Controls

Rated NEMA 4X and IP66 for use in washdown environments, these controls have an actuator that’s sealed to keep water out. An infrared sensor uses body heat to sense movement. They turn lights on when they detect motion and off when a room is empty or there’s enough daylight. To work properly, they need an unobstructed view of your space.
Power controllers (sold separately) are required to switch a 120- or 277-volt AC lighting circuit. They have a relay that switches a maximum 20 amp load.

Infrared Noncontact Level Switches for Chemicals

Detect chemical level with infrared light to avoid false switch activation caused by vibration in your tank. Also known as optical switches, these sense the level by reflecting light into a receiver that sends an output current to activate an alarm or control circuit. They are sensitive to light and should be shielded or used in enclosed tanks. Mount them horizontally or vertically.
SPST-NO switches activate when the tip is submerged in liquid and light stops reflecting into the receiver.
SPST-NC switches activate when the tip is exposed to air and light reflects into the receiver.

Motion-Sensing Modules for Development Boards
By detecting body heat, these modules sense when people are moving. Connect them to your development board to integrate them into alarm systems, automated lighting, and other applications.
Modules with an adjustable infrared motion sensor let you expand or lower the sensing distance. To connect them to a device, solder wires or headers to them.
Modules with a fixed infrared motion and thermal sensor can detect if a person is moving or even just present within the sensing distance. That means you could use them to automate lighting in an office where workers are sitting still. To connect them to your device, solder on wires or headers. For a solderless connection, use a Qwiic cord.
