    Brown

Leather protects against radiant heat, flames, and welding sparks. It’s flexible and resists cuts and abrasion better than cotton.
Brown—Brown leather jackets are designed with small vents under the arms and along the upper back to increase air circulation and cool you off. They have a pocket on each sleeve, as well as an inside pocket.

    Flame-Resistant Clothing Kits

Image of Product. Front orientation. Clothing Kits. Flame-Resistant Clothing Kits.
Withstand flash fire for up to 8 seconds—the clothes in these kits can protect you for twice as long as most flame-resistant clothing. Made of rayon/aramid, the coveralls and mask absorb moisture to keep you cool and comfortable.
The coveralls have a 10 ft. Kevlar strap, so nearby teammates can pull you to safety without putting themselves at risk if there’s a fire. The reflective stripes keep you easy to see where there's low visibility. The zipper closure on the front is covered by a hook-and-loop flap so it doesn't scrape equipment or get hot. The legs have zippers on the sides as well, so you can fit them over bulky boots. Tighten the hook and loop straps on the bottom of the pants to keep flames out. The sleeves have cuffs with thumb holes to keep the sleeves in place and prevent flames from sneaking in. When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under the coveralls.
Cannot Be Sold To—Clothing Kits cannot be sold to the listed areas due to chemical regulations.

Flame- and Arc-Flash-Protection Base Layer Shirts

Wear these fitted garments under clothing for an added layer of protection against intermittent exposure to flames and radiant heat. They meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 1 or 2. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. All base layer materials are lightweight, breathable, and moisture wicking for added comfort.
They all comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269 standards for flame and arc flash protection.
When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest.

    Fiberglass Pipe Insulation

When foam can't handle the heat, go with fiberglass insulation. It withstands temperatures hundreds of degrees hotter than rubber or polyethylene foam, so it's often used on hot water supply and steam lines.

FEP—FEP tubing is high strength to resist abrasion, cuts, tears, and chemicals.
Polyolefin—Polyolefin is for general purpose use.
PTFE—PTFE has excellent abrasion resistance and withstands higher temperatures than other tubing.
PVC—PVC tubing has excellent resistance to chemicals, oil, and acids.
PVDF—PVDF resists abrasion, cuts, and tears.
Adhesive Mount—Adhesive-mount polyolefin creates a water-resistant seal; the adhesive melts when heated and bonds to the underlying surface.

    Moisture-Seal Heat-Shrink Tubing

Create a water-resistant seal—this tubing has an adhesive lining that melts when the tubing is heated and bonds to the underlying surface. Choose tubing with a larger shrink ratio to cover irregularly shaped objects or cable assemblies that have a large size difference between the cable and connector.
    2.5:1 Shrink Ratio

    Semi-Rigid—Semi-rigid tubing bends only slightly.
SAE AMS-DTL-23053/4 Class 1—SAE AMS-DTL-23053/4 Class 1 tubing meets requirements for material quality and color.
Dielectric Strength—Dielectric strength is the maximum voltage a material can handle before it starts to breakdown. The higher the dielectric strength of a material, the better it is for preventing electricity, heat, or signal from dissipating from wire and cable.

Made of volcanic rock, these strips withstand temperatures up to 1200° F. Even in high temperatures, they remain flexible enough to bend around pipe and fittings. They're a good choice for exhaust pipes, heat exchangers, and boilers.
