    Thread these screws over a pin or another set screw to lock it in place, or over a spring to adjust tension. You can also peek through the hollow center to inspect locked parts. Made of alloy steel, these screws are strong enough to hold components without wearing down. Also known as jam set screws.
    Black-Oxide Alloy Steel—These screws have a dark matte finish that offers minimal corrosion resistance, so they're best for dry environments.

    The most corrosion-resistant hollow-tip set screws we offer. Made of stainless steel, they won't rust, but they're not as strong as alloy steel. Thread these screws over a pin or another set screw to lock it in place, or over a spring to adjust tension. You can also peek through the hollow center to inspect locked parts.     18-8 Stainless Steel—The choice for wet and outdoor environments, these screws won't rust. However, they don't hold up to the harsh chemicals that 316 stainless steel can.
