Quick-Clamp High-Vacuum Fittings for Stainless Steel Tubing
- For Use With:
Fittings with Gasket End: Air, Argon, Helium, Nitrogen
All Other Fittings: Air - Temperature Range: 0° to 300° F
- Tubing: Use with 304/304L or 316/316L stainless steel
- Specifications Met: ISO 2861
Instead of a gasket, these fittings have a special ring that is designed for high-vacuum applications, such as vacuum coating and heat treating, leak testing, and analyzing gases. Also known as KF, QF, and NW fittings, they are the most common type of connection in high-vacuum systems. Connect with a clamp and another quick-clamp fitting for fast, easy access to your line. To use fittings in pressure applications, use a pressure-rated ring (sold separately).
Aluminum fittings have good corrosion resistance and are lighter than stainless steel fittings. 304 stainless steel fittings have very good corrosion resistance.
Note: To complete a connection, you’ll need two quick-clamp fittings, a ring, and a clamp (all sold separately).

Fittings with threaded pipe end require PTFE tape for sealing the threads.
Fittings with barbed hose end connect flexible hose or tubing to your system. Secure with a hose clamp (sold separately).
Fittings with butt-weld end weld to tubing for a permanent connection. Fittings with butt-weld end are also known as ferrules.

Fittings with Yor-Lok end connect plain-end stainless steel tubing using a nut with two sleeves that bite into the tubing to create a strong seal. Yor-Lok connections are manufactured to tight tolerances—use them for high-pressure applications such as supplying gas or liquid to a high-vacuum chamber. Also known as instrumentation fittings.

Fittings with gasket end connect with a stainless steel gasket (sold separately) instead of a rubber one, generating fewer particles to create a stronger high-vacuum seal. Their interior is ultra-smooth to attract fewer contaminants. These adapters are commonly used to add gases such as helium, argon, or nitrogen into high-vacuum systems. Also known as VCR fittings.

Fittings with flanged end connect to pumps, valves or gauges that have flanged connections. Also known as conflat, CF, or UHV fittings, they have a higher vacuum rating than quick-clamp fittings, so these adapters allow you to connect between different levels of vacuum within a system. A copper gasket (sold separately) creates a tight seal between the two flanges.

Fittings with claw-clamp end are often used to connect high-vacuum components with large-diameter connections, such as coating or heat-treating equipment, to components with smaller connections such as gauges, filters, or pumps. Also known as ISO-K fittings, they connect with four claw clamps and a ring (sold separately).
