Aggressive adhesive sticks to nearly any surface, including concrete and other porous materials. It holds up in oily, dirty, or damp areas, and it stays put even with heavy use or regular cleaning. However, it’s more difficult to remove from surfaces than standard adhesives. Low-residue adhesive doesn’t leave a mess behind when you remove the label, so cleanup is easy. It’s best for temporarily labeling items, since it won’t stand up to heavy wear.

Vinyl labels are UV resistant, so you can use them outdoors. Polyester labels hold up to dirt, oil, and cleaning better than vinyl. Paper labels dissolve completely in water—including the adhesive—so you can wash them off. Use them on items that are frequently cleaned and relabeled, such as test tubes or food service containers.
