    Solid-Surface Grippers

    Clamp uneven or odd-shaped workpieces onto these grippers to hold them securely in place. Rather than a through hole, these grippers have a solid surface that grips your workpiece evenly and shields the mounting hole from debris.     Topped with textured urethane, these grippers hold workpieces steady without digging into the surface. They’re often used to support finished parts and oddly shaped workpieces. Rather than a through hole, these grippers have a solid surface that grips your workpiece evenly and shields the mounting hole from debris. However, they can be harder to line up than grippers with a through hole. Mount them from the bottom with a socket head cap screw.
    The lower the durometer of the gripper surface, the more cushion it provides; the higher the durometer, the more wear it can withstand over time.
