LED Light Bulbs for High-Intensity Discharge (HID) Lights


Style A—For Bay, Bollard, Floodlight, Post Top, Wall Lights	Style C—For Bollard, Post Top Lights	Style D—For Floodlight, Wall Lights

Change out the bulbs in your high-intensity discharge (HID) light fixture to lower energy costs. These LED bulbs last longer than other HID bulbs and achieve the same brightness with fewer lumens. They’re ballast bypass bulbs, so you can install them in a socket that’s wired directly to the power source. Match the wattage of the bulb you’re replacing.

Select a light appearance to match your existing lighting. If you’re not sure what temperature you need, choose a bulb with more than one light appearance. You can adjust the temperature with a switch.

Style A—For Bay, Bollard, Floodlight, Post Top, Wall Lights

Style A look like traditional HID bulbs, so they’re often used in decorative fixtures.

EX39 Base Number—Bulbs with an EX39 mogul base can also be used in E39 mogul base sockets.

Adapters for Mogul Base Sockets—Add a socket adapter (sold separately) to use E26 medium base bulbs in fixtures with EX39 or E39 mogul base sockets.

Frosted—Frosted bulbs cast softer light than clear bulbs. They help reduce glare in fixtures where the bulb is visible.

Adapters for Mogul Base Sockets—Add a socket adapter (sold separately) to use E26 medium base bulbs in fixtures with EX39 or E39 mogul base sockets.

Motion Sensors—Add a motion sensor (sold separately) to the end of a bulb to light up HID fixtures when they detect movement after dark.

Remote Controls for Motion Sensors—To make changes to the reach and sensitivity of a motion sensor, you'll need a remote control (sold separately).

Keep food warm, speed up drying, or make chilly workstations comfortable. These bulbs radiate infrared heat that penetrates and warms the surfaces they shine on. The higher the wattage, the more warmth they give.

Shatter-Resistant Plastic-Coated Glass Bulb—A plastic coating helps contain glass shards if the bulb breaks.

BR38 Bulb Shape—Cast a wide beam to warm large surfaces. They’re often used in hanging heat lamps and other large fixtures. These bulbs are made of blown glass.

PAR38 Bulb Shape—A narrow beam focuses heat on a small area. These bulbs are made of thick, hardened glass for added durability.
