    Change out the bulbs in your high-intensity discharge (HID) light fixture to lower energy costs. These LED bulbs last longer than other HID bulbs and achieve the same brightness with fewer lumens. They’re ballast bypass bulbs, so you can install them in a socket that’s wired directly to the power source. Match the wattage of the bulb you’re replacing.
    Select a light appearance to match your existing lighting. If you’re not sure what temperature you need, choose a bulb with more than one light appearance. You can adjust the temperature with a switch.

    EX39 Base Number—Bulbs with an EX39 mogul base can also be used in E39 mogul base sockets.
    Motion Sensors—Add a motion sensor (sold separately) to the end of a bulb to light up HID fixtures when they detect movement after dark.
    Remote Controls for Motion Sensors—To make changes to the reach and sensitivity of a motion sensor, you'll need a remote control (sold separately).
