Stain metal items such as bearings, springs, nuts, and other components. These fluids repel oil, adhere without flaking and scaling, and won’t interfere with part performance.
Opaque—Opaque fluids conceal the color of the part.
Clear—Clear fluids allow the color of the part to show through and are thinner and dry faster than opaque fluids.
Cannot Be Sold Outside United States—Fluids that cannot be sold outside the United States exceed local regulatory limits on VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

    High Spot Blue Marking Paste

Image of Product. Front orientation. Marking Fluid. High Spot Blue Marking Paste.
This thick paste clings to surfaces without running, unlike liquid marking fluids. Apply it to bearings, gears, and valves to identify high spots and interference points. Improper fit shows up as a blue streak for easy visual inspection. The paste cleans up with Marking Fluid Remover.
Cannot Be Sold Outside United States—Paste cannot be sold outside the United States because it exceeds local regulatory limits on VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

    Fixed Output Voltage

    Adjustable Output Voltage

Make permanent, clear marks on metals without heat or force to preserve your material’s structural integrity. These etchers are often used for critical marking applications such as adding identification numbers to aerospace parts.
They come with everything you need to start etching. To operate, saturate the etching pad with solution, position your stencil on the item you’re marking, and press the pad over the stencil. The longer you hold the etcher on the stencil, the deeper the etch. After etching, clean the surface with solution neutralizer and dry the mark to prevent rust.
Adjustable Output Voltage—Select the output voltage best suited to your metal’s conductivity for more control over the marks than fixed output voltage etchers. Lower the voltage to slow the etching process and reduce the risk of removing too much material, especially on highly conductive metals such as aluminum. Increase the voltage to leave deeper marks.

    Etching Solution

Image of Product. Front orientation. Etching Solution.
Direct electrical current from your etcher to the surface being marked. Apply this solution to your etching pad, then place the etcher over the stencil on your material. Most solutions require a neutralizer (sold separately) to clean the surface after marking to prevent corrosion or rust.
General Purpose Etching Solution—Mark on a wide range of metals with a single solution. To achieve deeper marks on metals such as aluminum, copper, and stainless steel, use a solution that is specific to that metal.
Noncorrosive General Purpose Etching Solution—Won’t leave behind any residue and poses no risk of corrosion or rust, even without a neutralizer. This solution is halogen-free, chloride-free, and meets MIL-STD 792E, which makes it safe for use in environments most sensitive to corrosion, such as nuclear plants and oil and gas refineries.
