The tip has thin edges that dig into surfaces for a secure hold. They often lock gears, pulleys, and other transmission components onto shafts.
    Cadmium-Plated Alloy Steel—The plating reduces friction between the screw and your mounting surface to prevent sticking when tightening and loosening. It also creates a barrier against rust.
