    Electrically Insulating Mica Sheets

Image of Product. Front orientation. Mica. Electrically Insulating Mica Sheets.
Insulate electrical components in everything from toasters to circuit breakers. These sheets provide greater vibration resistance than ceramic and withstand higher temperatures than plastic. They can operate continuously at temperatures up to 930° F, but if they stay above that temperature for too long, they may turn to carbon and stop insulating. These sheets meet UL 94 V-0 for flame retardance. Also known as muscovite mica.
Semi-Rigid—These sheets bend like a playing card, so they provide some spring power. Cut them with scissors, punches, or die stamps.
Rigid—Machine with high-speed steel or tungsten carbide tools.

    Flexible Electrically Insulating Mica Sheets

Image of Product. Front orientation. Mica. Flexible Electrically Insulating Mica Sheets.
A resin binder gives these sheets enough flexibility to be used as wrap-around electrical or thermal insulation. They operate continuously at temperatures up to 930° F, but if they stay above that temperature for too long, they may turn to carbon and stop insulating. They meet UL 94 V-0 for flame retardance. Cut these sheets with scissors, die stamps, or punches. Also known as muscovite mica.

    Ultra-Electrically Insulating Clear Mica Sheets

Image of Product. Front orientation. Mica. Ultra-Electrically Insulating Clear Mica Sheets.
The best electrical insulator for temperatures above 900° F. Use these sheets to separate and shield components in everything from electronics to motors. Cut, stamp, or shear them into shapes such as washers, which can be used to mount diodes to a heat sink. These sheets can also be used as sight glasses, often called stove mica, for areas where plastic would melt or glass would shatter. Also known as muscovite mica.
Semi-Rigid—These sheets bend like a playing card, so you’ll get a little bit of spring power.

    Electrically Insulating Mica Tubes

Image of Product. Front orientation. Mica. Electrically Insulating Mica Tubes.
Insulate electrical components in environments exposed to high heat. These tubes are often used to support wire leads in electric vehicle batteries. They provide greater vibration resistance than ceramic and withstand higher temperatures than plastic. They can operate continuously at temperatures up to 930° F, but if they stay above that temperature for too long, they may turn to carbon and stop insulating. Also known as muscovite mica.
Rigid—Saw, score, or cut to length with standard tools.
Wall Thickness—The thicker the wall, the better a tube can withstand high voltages, resist crushing, and hold up to heat cycling. Thinner walls allow for some heat transfer and are easier to cut.
