Often used for cryogenic tanks and fasteners, 718 nickel will maintain its high strength in temperatures from -300° to 1200° F, even after long-term exposure. It can be further strengthened by heat treating. This material is comparable to Inconel 718.

The strongest nickel rods we sell, hardening makes these ultra-strong 718 rods stronger. They’re tough enough to stand up to harsh chemicals and acids at extreme temperatures, so they’re often used for cryogenic tanks and fasteners. An upgrade from stainless steel, this material is comparable to Inconel 718.
