UN-Compliant Shipping Tanks

Also known as intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), these tanks are designed to safely ship liquids. They're tested to comply with United Nations regulations for packaging and shipping hazardous material over land, sea, or air. These regulations aim to prevent hazardous spills caused by accidents or rough package handling. Unlike round drums, these tanks can be tightly packed side-by-side to maximize your floor space. They’re protected by a rigid tubular steel cage. They can be stacked two high when tank is full and four high when empty.

Note: It is the responsibility of the shipper to follow regulatory guidelines for properly packaging and labeling all hazardous materials and ensure the appropriate method for shipping.

UV-Resistant UN-Compliant Shipping Tanks

Protect shipments of hazardous material during transit. A UV-resistant coating shields these tanks from sun damage, preventing leaks through weakened walls. They’re also protected by a rigid steel cage. These tanks comply with United Nations regulations for packaging and shipping hazardous material over land, sea, or air.

These tanks are also known as intermediate bulk containers (IBCs). They store five times as much material as a 55 gal. drum. Unlike round drums, these tanks can be tightly packed side-by-side to maximize your floor space. For added capacity, stack them two high when full or four high when empty.

Double-Wall Plastic Tanks

No need for separate spill-control pallets or trays—comply with EPA regulations for storing hazardous liquids with just one tank. These tanks have two walls, so if the primary compartment ruptures, the secondary one will contain the leak. It can hold 110% of the primary tank's volume and will also protect it from damage in case of impact.

Made of polyethylene, these tanks can store a broader range of chemicals than steel double-wall tanks. The plastic contains UV inhibitors so they can be used outside.

These tanks have a flat space on top where you can mount a metering pump.

NSF/ANSI 61—Because these tanks meet NSF/ANSI 61 for drinking water, you can meter chemicals stored in them into your drinking water system.

Hydraulic Tanks

Store fluids for a hydraulic power unit or circulating-oil system. Choose a tank capacity about three times greater than your requirement to allow for heat dissipation. Tanks with only a drain connection require you to drill your own inlet/outlet connection and add pipe suction flanges (sold separately). Flanges seal pipes that pass through the top plate of your tank.

Dual Chamber Tanks—Dual chamber tanks have a divider that allows particles to settle on one side before fluid is returned to your line.

Style C—To install the breather vent to Style C tanks, drill a hole in the tank.

Double-Wall Steel Tanks with Forklift Entry

Provide extra protection for products that require double-wall containment, such as diesel and waste oil, solvents, and antifreeze. The tank's second wall forms a spill-control compartment that holds 110% of the primary compartment's storage capacity. They have an opening for venting in the primary compartment, an opening for leak detection in the secondary compartment, and two openings for emergency venting in the primary and secondary compartments.
