12-Point Sure-Grip Opening |
Get a firm hold on flare nuts and fittings to create leak-tight seals on tubing without cracking it. The heads on these wrenches have recessed corners to distribute turning force more evenly than standard wrenches, preventing stripping and slipping. They're well-suited for tight spots on refrigeration, brake, fuel, or hydraulic lines. Also known as flare-nut or line wrenches.
12-Point Sure-Grip Opening—These wrenches slide onto hex-head fasteners at more angles than those with hex sure-grip openings for quicker engagement. However, they’re more prone to slipping because they make less direct contact with the surfaces.
