UV- and Moisture-Resistant Polyester Rods
- Color: Black
- Temperature Range: -40° to 230°F
- Tensile Strength: 10,000 psi (Good)
- Impact Strength: 0.53 ft.-lbs./in. (Poor)
- Hardness: Rockwell M93 (Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: Yes
- Specifications Met: ASTM D5927, ASTM D6261
These black polyester rods protect from UV rays better than off-white polyester. Strong and semi-rigid, they won't swell in moist environments, so they're often made into valves, pump components, and spacers. They’re wear resistant and easy to machine. This material is also called PET and PETE.
