Adjustable-Length Locking Quick-Release Pins
These pins adjust to take up play in a system or hold parts in holes of varying thicknesses. Spin the handle up or down, then tighten the locknut to change the length by up to ½”. Pins lock in place until you push the button to release the spring-loaded retaining balls. Use them in a hole as close to the diameter as possible, but not larger than the diameter at extended ball height. The T-handle has a hole to add a ring and lanyard (sold separately). Pins are made of cadmium-plated steel for good strength and some corrosion resistance. Breaking strength is measured as double shear, which is the force required to break a pin into three pieces.

Cotter Pin-Lockable Hex Head Screws
Place a cotter pin through the hole in the shank to keep a nut from loosening (pins and nuts sold separately). These screws have a stronger hold than screws with thread lockers or lock washers. Screws are made to stringent Army-Navy specifications that ensure performance and reliability. They have a precisely measured unthreaded portion (grip). For added strength, place this portion in joints subjected to sideways forces. The cadmium plating provides good corrosion resistance to salt water. Screws have fine threads, which are closely spaced to prevent loosening from vibration; they are not compatible with coarse or extra-fine threads. Length is measured from under the head.
