    High-Pressure Iron and Steel Socket-Connect Pipe Fittings

    Slide pipe into the socket and weld for a strong, permanent connection in high-pressure lines. Socket-connect fittings don’t require perfect alignment, so they’re easier to join than butt-weld fittings. Made of steel, these perform best in noncorrosive environments.

    Thick-Wall Iron and Steel Unthreaded Pipe Nipples and Pipe

    Also known as Schedule 80, this pipe is stronger than standard-wall pipe. Weld it to fittings and other lengths of pipe for permanent joints that are less likely to leak than threaded connections. Made of steel, it’s best for noncorrosive environments.
