Straight and Spiral Router Bits for Plastic
Cut square slots, pockets, and edges in plastic.
Bits with straight flutes are for general purpose use.
Bits with spiral flutes make plunge cuts more easily than straight-flute bits and leave a smoother finish. Spiral-flute bits with upward chip removal lift chips up for applications that require a smooth finish on the bottom edge of the cut. Securely clamp the workpiece before routing to prevent lifting. Spiral-flute bits with downward chip removal push chips down for applications that require a smooth finish on the cut's top edge.
High-speed steel bits can be used with hand tools, router tables, and CNC machines. They do not have a pilot, so guide your router along a straight edge when hand routing to ensure accurate cuts.
Carbide bits provide a longer tool life and faster cutting speeds than high-speed steel bits. Their extreme hardness means they are brittle, so they’re not recommended for use with hand tools. A highly rigid setup, such as a CNC machine, is necessary to prevent the bit from breaking.
Bits for hard and soft plastic are for use on most plastic, including polyethylene, polycarbonate, and vinyl. Choose a bit with one flute for a faster cut; bits with two flutes produce a smoother finish.
Bits for hard plastic and composites have two shallow flutes for durability when making cuts on hard material.

Spiral Router Bits for Foam
The cutting edges of these bits have a shallow angle to carve foam quickly and accurately. With a square cut style, they create slots, pockets, and edges. Their spiral flutes leave a smooth finish and are good for making plunge cuts. All are made of solid carbide for a long tool life and fast cutting speeds. The extreme hardness of carbide bits means they are brittle, so a highly rigid setup, such as a CNC machine, is necessary to prevent the bit from breaking.
Bits with upward chip removal lift chips up for applications that need a smooth finish on the bottom edge of the cut. Securely clamp your workpiece in place before routing to prevent the piece from lifting.
Bits with downward chip removal push chips down for applications that require a smooth finish on the cut’s top edge.

Flush-Trimming Router Bits
Cut layers of material flush to one another or make cuts along a template. All bits have a pilot to guide cuts.
Pilot location describes the position of the pilot when the bit is used for hand routing. The pilot location is reversed when using the bit with a router table.
Bottom-pilot bits trim material from an upper layer of the workpiece so that it is flush with the layer below. In addition to flush trimming, they can be used to cut along a template placed below the workpiece.
Top-pilot bits cut a lower layer of the workpiece flush to the layer above. In addition to flush trimming, they can be used for pattern cutting with a template placed above the workpiece.
Straight-flute carbide bits have a solid pilot and are for use on plastic laminate. Carbide-tipped high-speed steel bits are for use on wood and plastic laminate.

Flush-Trimming and Chamfer Router Bits
These bits have a straight cutting edge for flush trimming and an angled cutting edge for making 22° chamfer cuts. They're for use on countertops and other plastic laminate material. For flush trimming, hold the bit at a height where only the straight cutting edge makes contact with the workpiece. For chamfer cuts, position the bit so the angled cutting edge makes contact with the workpiece. A ball-bearing pilot guides the bit for accurate cuts. All are carbide-tipped high-speed steel for a long tool life and fast cutting speeds.

Corner-Rounding Router Bits
Choose from bits that cut rounded, cove, wavy, or Roman ogee corners along the edges of your workpiece.
Use solid carbide bits to round off sharp edges on plastic sheets. Their extreme hardness makes them brittle, so they're not recommended for use with hand tools. A highly rigid setup, such as a CNC machine, is necessary to prevent the bit from breaking.

Ball-End Router Bits
For smooth contour carving in wood, plastic, and aluminum, these bits have a ball-nose design. All are made of solid carbide for a long tool life and fast cutting speeds. The extreme hardness of carbide bits means they are brittle, so they're not recommended for use with hand tools. A highly rigid setup, such as a CNC machine, is necessary to prevent the bit from breaking. The spiral flutes pull chips up from the workpiece while making cuts; securely clamp your material before routing to prevent lifting.

Battery-Powered Plastic Pipe and Tube Bevelers
Lightweight and portable, these battery-powered bevelers cut faster than manual ones. Use them to quickly and safely create smooth beveled edges on plastic pipe and tubing so that cement distributes evenly for a leak-tight connection. An adjustable guide plate helps you cut an accurate, even edge all the way around the pipe. The OD guard protects you from the router bit and flying plastic shavings.
