    Quickly check that parts are within tolerance without adjusting the jaws each time. The jaws have a spring-loaded lock, so they stay at your set measurement. Pull the thumb wheel to open them just enough to slide a part in or out. Release and they snap back to their set position.
    With an LCD display, these calipers give instant measurements—no need to count graduations. Swap between inch and metric or set the position to zero, all with the press of a button. You don't need to reset the zero point since they retain their position when turned off, also known as absolute (ABS) positioning.
