    The most commonly used hex nuts, these are suitable for fastening most machinery and equipment.
    Plastic
    Chemical-Resistant Polypropylene—Versatile and economical, these resist a broad range of chemicals, such as petroleum, degreasers, and sulfuric acid. They're not quite as chemical resistant as PTFE nuts and will weaken if exposed to chlorine, lacquer solvents, or nitric acid.

    Plastic Press-Fit Low-Profile Binding Barrels and Caps

    Plastic binding barrels are chemical resistant, nonconductive, and lightweight. The barrel is unthreaded for quick assembly with a press or a hammer. The barrel and cap have a low-profile for a nearly flush finish with the material surface. Barrel length is measured from under the head. Barrels and caps are sold separately.
