To prevent leaks in threaded connections, apply a sealant to the male threads. Threaded connections can be taken apart as needed for maintenance and repair. For metal threads, use PTFE tape. Connect clamp-on fittings to the grooved-ends of this pipe when you need frequent access to your line. If you need to trim down the pipe, you'll need a grooving tool (sold separately) to add a groove for your fitting.
