    Stainless Steel Sintered Filter Discs

    Also known as frits, these discs have tiny holes that trap very small particles. Discs are often used in laboratories and gas-bubbling applications (sparging). They’re made of 316L stainless steel for excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance.
    Select discs based on the size of the particles you wish to remove. For example, the particle size of talcum is about 10 microns.

    Nylon Body—Nylon mufflers resist corrosion and will not deteriorate when exposed to oil.

    Large Cell

    Injected with air during casting, aluminum foam is even lighter than solid aluminum and has a crater-like appearance. It’s often installed as sound insulation and on the exterior of buildings.
    To machine aluminum foam, you’ll need a carbide- or diamond-tipped blade. Diamond blades cut more easily and last longer than carbide ones.
    Small Cell—Dense and stiff, this foam is best for high-performance acoustic panels and sturdy, decorative elements. It's 1/6 the weight of solid aluminum.
    Large Cell—Our lightest aluminum foam due to its low density. It's 1/3 the weight of small-cell foam and 1/20 the weight of solid aluminum. Since light peeks through the holes, it's often used to build architectural light diffusers.
