To power electronics ranging from simple prototypes to complex industrial automation and process control equipment, these general purpose power supplies convert AC to DC voltage. Mount them to a surface inside your device’s enclosure.
So you don’t accidentally touch internal components and shock yourself, these power supplies have their own housing. If you occasionally need to poke around inside your device’s enclosure, the housing also protects the power supplies themselves from damage. But compared to open-frame power supplies, these have a larger footprint, so they won’t fit in tight spaces.
For output wire connections, choose between standard screw terminals and quick-disconnect terminals. Use quick-disconnect terminals if you have wires with ring terminal ends. To connect them, slide a screw through the hole in the quick-disconnect terminal, slip the ring terminal from your wire over the screw, and tighten a nut on the end of the screw to hold everything in place. Screws, nuts, and ring terminals are not included.
All of these power supplies use switching regulation, which means they produce the stated voltage despite fluctuations in your input power and the power being drawn by your system, and they won’t become too hot. Power supplies that are SEMI F47 compliant meet standards for maintaining output voltage when input voltage dips. This is commonly known as voltage sag immunity.
If you exceed the maximum current, load, or voltage, these power supplies shut down to protect both the power supply and the connected equipment. Some also protect against excessive temperatures. All meet stringent safety standards.
Maximum Output Noise Peak-to-Peak—Maximum output noise is also known as ripple noise. The lower the value, the less interference the power supply creates. For most applications, a value over 100mVpp isn’t a problem. However, when using to power extremely sensitive electronics, such as audio equipment and high-precision measuring and testing equipment, you’ll want an output noise around 5mVpp or less.
Power Factor @ Voltage—Power factor shows how effectively a power supply draws AC power from the main electrical supply. The higher the power factor—up to a maximum score of 1—the lower your operating cost.
Efficiency @ Voltage—Efficiency describes how good a power supply is at converting the AC power it draws from your main electrical supply into DC power. High-efficiency power supplies cost less money to operate and produce less heat, meaning cooler temperatures in your electrical cabinet.
Cannot Be Sold To—Power supplies that cannot be sold to the regions listed are restricted by local energy efficiency requirements.

    Rail

Power multiple devices with different voltages at the same time. These power supplies convert AC to DC voltage or step down high DC voltages to low DC voltages. Mount them to the DIN rails inside industrial cabinets and electrical panels, or unscrew the DIN clips to mount to any flat surface.
All of these power supplies use switching regulation, which means they produce the stated voltage despite fluctuations in your input power and the power being drawn by your system, and they won’t become too hot.
If you exceed the maximum temperature or load, these power supplies shut down to protect both the power supply and the connected equipment.
Rated IP20, they are designed to stop your fingers from touching internal components, which prevents accidental shocks. With various certifications, such as CE Marked, UL recognized, and C-UL recognized, these power supplies meet stringent safety standards. They have been safety tested for both AC and DC voltage inputs. They also meet specifications for UL 94 V-0, so they will self-extinguish within ten seconds if they catch fire, and won’t cause additional fires by dripping.
Maximum output noise is also known as ripple noise.

Completely sealed and protected from dust and water, these power supplies don't need a separate electrical panel or enclosure. Instead, mount them directly to machine tools, process control equipment, conveyors, and other equipment found in harsh industrial areas. They convert AC voltage to deliver DC power right at the point of need, reducing the need for complex wiring.
Rated IP67, all of these power supplies are safe for use in dusty, humid, and wet locations, as well as in applications where the power supply may be briefly submerged in water.
Although sealed in a housing, these power supplies have excellent heat dissipation, so they run reliably even as temperatures rise. They use switching regulation, which means they produce the stated voltage despite fluctuations in your input power and the power being drawn by your system, and they won’t create much heat. Some of these power supplies are also SEMI F47 compliant, which means they meet standards for maintaining output voltage when input voltage dips. This is commonly known as voltage sag immunity.
If you exceed the maximum voltage or load, these power supplies shut down to protect both the power supply and the connected equipment. They also meet the voltage requirements for use in a SELV (separated extra low voltage) circuit. With various domestic and international certifications, such as UL listing and CE marking, you can be sure they meet stringent safety standards.
IP66 Enclosure Rating—IP66-rated power supplies can also withstand frequent washdowns.
IP68 Enclosure Rating—IP68-rated power supplies are safe for use outdoors as well as under water for extended periods. They're tested to withstand submersion in 1 meter of water for 40 days.
Cannot Be Sold to California and Cannot Be Sold to Vermont—Power supplies that cannot be sold to California and Vermont do not meet energy efficiency requirements.
Output Peak Current—Power supplies with an output peak current briefly boost power above their maximum operating current for starting motors, actuating solenoid valves, and other applications that require a higher starting current than their operating current.

    Remote On/Off Power Supplies

Save power by switching these power supplies on and off remotely, so devices only run when they're needed. Use them to convert AC voltage to DC to power electronic equipment ranging from simple prototypes to complex industrial automation and process control equipment. Mount them to a surface inside your device’s enclosure.
Besides turning them on and off, these power supplies have two other remote capabilities. Remote voltage sensing lets them compensate for any voltage that’s lost as it travels across the wires, ensuring that devices get the correct voltage. They also send a signal if the voltage drops, the cooling fan fails, or they exceed the maximum current, load, voltage, or temperature.
So you don’t accidentally touch internal components and shock yourself, these power supplies have their own housing. They're good to use in spots where you occasionally need to access the inside of your device’s enclosure, since the housing also protects the power supplies themselves.
For output wire connections, they have either standard screw terminals or quick-disconnect terminals. Choose quick-disconnect terminals if you have wires with ring terminal ends.
In addition to sending a signal, if you exceed the maximum current, load, voltage, or temperature, these power supplies shut down to protect both the power supply and the connected equipment.
They're UL and C-UL Recognized Components, TUV Rheinland Certified, and CE Marked so you know they meet stringent safety standards.

    30 Watts Output Power

    100 Watts Output Power

Convert AC to DC voltage to power equipment in tight spaces—since these power supplies don’t have an enclosure, you can use them inside devices where enclosed power supplies can’t fit. The open construction lets heat out, so they also run cooler than standard power supplies with the same output. However, since they are not enclosed, these power supplies can shock you if you touch their components. They are best for devices with sealed housings, and should not be used in enclosures that are opened frequently.
These use switching regulation, which means they produce the stated voltage despite fluctuations in your input power and the power being drawn by your system. It also means they won’t get too hot.
When these power supplies convert AC voltage to DC voltage, some noise from the AC voltage will carry into the output. While this won't affect most applications, this noise can interfere with other signals in extremely sensitive applications. The lower the output noise, the less interference it creates.
The combination of power factor and efficiency gives you a sense for how efficiently these draw AC power and convert it into DC power, which ultimately affects your operating cost. The closer the power factor is to 1, and the higher the efficiency percentage, the lower the operating cost. The more efficient your power supply, the cooler it runs too.
These power supplies meet U.S. and international safety standards. If you exceed the maximum current, load, or voltage, they’ll shut down to protect both the power supply and the connected equipment.

    DC to DC Power Converters

When your power supply sends out DC power at a higher voltage than you need, change to the proper voltage with these converters. They’re often used when a specific component, such as a sensor, requires a lower voltage than surrounding equipment. Use them to correct power supplies that send uneven voltages, too—they provide electricity at a stable, consistent voltage. They mount on flat surfaces, and are commonly fastened inside enclosures.
If you exceed the current limit, these converters will shut down to protect your equipment. Some converters have overvoltage protection, so they’ll do the same if you exceed voltage limits.

With a single cord, send data and electricity to Power over Ethernet (PoE) compatible devices. These injectors are commonly used to run devices such as routers and wireless access points in areas where no power outlet is nearby. To run these injectors, you need a power cord and two Ethernet cords (all sold separately). Connect one Ethernet cord from your network hub to the input of the injector, and the other Ethernet cord from the injector to your device.
These injectors meet U.S., Canadian, and European standards for safety. All have a limited power source (LPS) rating, meaning they meet international safety standards for low-voltage output. They’re also rated for DOE Level VI efficiency, signaling they comply with Department of Energy efficiency requirements for power usage.
As these injectors convert AC voltage to DC voltage, some noise from the AC voltage will carry into the output. While this won't affect most applications, this noise can interfere with other signals in extremely sensitive applications. The lower the output noise, the less interference it creates.
When choosing an injector, consider how much power your device requires.
Passive Power Over Ethernet—Use passive injectors with passive devices. These injectors send power to connected devices at all times; if they are incompatible, the devices could be damaged.
Active Power Over Ethernet—Active injectors check for compatibility with connected devices before sending power, protecting those devices from possible damage. They’re backwards compatible, so injectors with higher output powers can still be used with lower-power devices that meet a different IEEE standard.
15.4 W Output—Injectors with a 15.4W output power are often used with internet-connected phones and simple surveillance cameras.
30 W Output—Injectors with a 30W output power commonly power advanced surveillance systems, wireless access points, and lighting.
60 W Output—Injectors with a 60W output power are a common choice for building automation components and video conferencing equipment.
90 W Output—Injectors with a 90W output power are often connected to TVs and monitors.
C6—For injectors with an IEC C6 input connection, choose power cords with an IEC C5 socket.
C14—For injectors with an IEC C14 input connection, choose power cords with an IEC C13 socket.
Shielded Ethernet—Injectors with shielded connections protect from electromagnetic interference (EMI).
CoC Tier 2—Injectors rated for CoC Tier 2 efficiency meet European standards for efficient power usage.
