Inspection and Measuring Fixturing
Use these components in coordinate measuring machine (CMM) applications to raise a workpiece and reliably position it on a fixture plate with 1/4"-20 holes. They are not for use in machining applications.

Hold-down clamps thread directly into a fixture plate, tower, or compatible component. Slide the clamp down its shaft and press into place against the workpiece for a light hold. They're also known as tension spring clamps. Wire clamps have a slimmer profile than standard, making them good for clamping small parts or minimizing contact area for additional visibility.

Fixture plates have a grid of 1/4"-20 threaded holes spaced 1/2" apart for attaching components. Alpha-numeric markings around the edges of the plates make it easier to identify holes and repeat tasks. Use aluminum plates with CMMs and optical comparators. Use acrylic plates on vision systems. They are transparent to provide your system with a view of the workpiece.

The height of fixture towers makes them useful for holding large parts. They have a grid of 1/4"-20 threaded holes spaced 1/2" apart for attaching components. Alpha-numeric markings around the edges of the towers make it easier to identify holes and repeat tasks.
Use an angle plate to mount components at a right angle.

Indexable Grooving and Profiling Carbide Inserts
The rounded nose on these inserts contours the outside of the workpiece and cuts grooves with rounded edges. Pair an insert with a compatible shank-style holder. When the first cutting edge dulls, flip the insert to use the other edge, giving it twice the life of a standard grooving insert.

Shank-Style Holders for Indexable Cutoff and Grooving Carbide Inserts
Fit these holders directly into a lathe tool post or appropriately sized holder without the need for a tool block. Pair with a square-nose carbide insert (sold separately) to make a cutoff and grooving tool or a round-nose insert to make a grooving and profiling tool. These holders have an opening at one end.

Combine a carbide insert with a compatible internal profiling holder to create a tool that can contour the interior wall of a hollow workpiece. When one edge of the insert dulls, just rotate it in the holder to use another side.
C3 carbide inserts are abrasion resistant and less likely to chip or crack than C6 carbide when cutting aluminum, brass, and bronze.
C6 carbide inserts hold up better than C3 carbide when making cuts in steel and stainless steel.

Quick-Change Lathe Tools and Holders
Reduce tooling setup time—install the holder once and alternate between applications by switching out the bit. Once the holder has been aligned with the centerline of the lathe, the locking system ensures alignment repeatability from tool to tool.
