    Identify and track items tagged with the most common barcodes. These scanners don’t require any software to communicate with your computer. When you press the trigger to scan a barcode, the data appears wherever your cursor is, just like when you type.
    All scanners read 1D barcodes, such as UPC, EAN, Code 39, Code 128, and ISBN codes.
    For 2D Barcodes—Scanners for 2D barcodes read QR, Data Matrix, and PDF417 codes.
    Image Scanner—Image scanners read lower-quality barcodes than laser and CCD scanners. They’re also able to read barcodes on screens.
    Bluetooth Connection—Scanners with a Bluetooth connection work wirelessly hundreds of feet away from the computer they’re sending data to.
    USB-A Connection—Scanners with a USB-A connection send data faster than Bluetooth scanners but require you to be tethered to your computer.
    For GTINs—Scanners for GTINs (Global Trade Item Numbers) read codes that are typically embedded in UPC and EAN barcodes.
    Cannot Be Sold To—Scanners that cannot be sold to the listed areas are restricted due to energy efficiency and/or export regulations.

    Make it easier to capture barcodes and labels on glossy packaging under bright lighting. These filters reduce glare, helping your scanner or camera pick up every detail. Also known as polarized lighting gels, they work by filtering out light coming from an angle. Because they only slightly darken what passes through, they won’t distort color. Cut them to size with scissors or a utility knife, then mount them over your lens.
