Polishing Bob and Compound Kits for Reciprocating Polishers

Image of Product. Front orientation. Buffing Kits. Polishing Bob and Compound Kits for Reciprocating Polishers.
Everything you need to polish flat surfaces with a reciprocating polisher. These kits include polishing bobs in different sizes and hardness ratings, along with buffing compounds. The bobs have a flat profile that moves back and forth with the motion of the reciprocating polisher. They’re good for large surfaces or squeezing into narrow, linear spaces. Use the beveled tip to polish at an angle.
Most buffing processes have two steps, cutting and coloring.
    1. Cutting removes scratches and surface imperfections.
    2. Coloring produces an even finish.
Wool Felt—These bobs absorb and retain compounds better than synthetic felt bobs, so you don't need to reapply as often.
Medium—Balance removing material with leaving a smooth finish.
    Hard—For aggressive material removal.

No-Mess Polishing Bobs for Reciprocating Polishers

    Rectangle with

    Bevel Tip

Pop these rectangular bobs onto a reciprocating polisher to glide along flat surfaces—no messy compounds required. They're embedded with silicon carbide abrasive, which stays cool to prevent buildup. That makes them best for soft metals prone to clogging, such as aluminum. The abrasive also lets you cut fast without pressing hard. Their flat profile suits both large surfaces and straight, narrow spaces. The bobs have a beveled tip to polish on an angle. Grit is approximate.
Polyurethane Rubber—Harder than neoprene and wool felt, these bobs hold their shape longer, even during heavy use.
