    Thick-Wall Highly Twist-Resistant Rivet Nuts

    Our most twist-resistant rivet nuts that are also strong enough for structural frames in heavy machinery, such as forklifts. They have hex-shaped bodies with flat sides to keep them locked firmly in place as you tighten or loosen screws. The thick walls distribute heavy loads better than standard walls.
    Install these nuts in a hex-shaped punched hole with a rivet nut tool. Thread the rivet nut onto the mandrel, then grip the tool body with a wrench as you twist the tightening nut with a ratchet. Choose an air- or battery-powered tool for fast installation or to easily switch between many different nut sizes. Length is measured from under the flange.

    Rivet Nuts

    Add threads to sheet metal and other thin surfaces inaccessible from behind. When installed, the body of these nuts collapses onto the back side of material to form a flange that holds the nut in place. Less expensive than press-fit nuts, they also avoid the spatter mess of weld nuts. They're often used in control box panels and electronic housings, as well as for quick repairs to assembled parts.
    Install these nuts in a drilled or punched round hole using a rivet nut tool.     Install blind rivets and rivet nuts with the same tool. These sets come with the nosepieces and mandrels needed to install the most common sizes of blind rivets and rivet nuts. Additional mandrels and nosepieces are sold separately. Choose the attachment that matches your rivet diameter or nut thread size.
    To install a rivet, insert the mandrel into the nosepiece of the tool. Place the rivet in the material and squeeze the handles. The tool pulls the mandrel through the rivet body to tighten it on both sides of the material, then breaks off the excess mandrel. To install a rivet nut, thread the rivet nut onto the mandrel, insert the nut into a drilled hole, and squeeze the handles to secure the nut.
