    Angle of Misalignment

    Increase cylinder life by fixing alignment problems between air or hydraulic cylinders and driven components. Couplers have a threaded end that moves to compensate for the angle of misalignment, reducing wear on cylinder bearings and seals. Couplers have a male and female end.

    Spider Couplings

    With two hubs gripping a rubbery spider in the center, these couplings damp vibration and transfer torque while flexing to handle misaligned shafts. The metal hubs never touch each other, so there's no need for lubrication. Also known as Lovejoy® couplings. For a complete coupling, select two hubs and one spider or two hubs, one split spider, and one retaining ring. Choose components with the same trade size to ensure they'll fit together.

    Customize the bore to align uncommon shaft sizes as well as shafts that have become undersized from wear or oversized from coatings.
    Round—Hubs for the standard shaft type.
    Sintered Iron—Keep these strong, powdered-metal hubs dry to prevent rust.
    Cast Iron—Strong and rigid for heavy loads, but moisture will cause them to rust.
    Set-Screw Shaft Mount—Screws dig into your shaft for a secure hold.
