Electronic Remote-Release Rotary Latches


1 Latch Point, Manual-Release Lever	1 Latch Point Manual-Release Lever Switch

Open your door with a card reader or other access control device. In case of emergency, these latches have a lever to manually open your door. You can also connect a cable, rod, or handle (not included) to operate these latches remotely in areas with obstructions. To close these latches, push them in, and they firmly grip the strike bolt or plate on your door to hold it shut. Also known as single-stage rotary latches, they only have one latching position to keep them closed. Push them hard to make sure they don’t accidentally open.

Switch—Latches with a switch can trigger a light, alarm, or other device to let you know when the latch is open or closed. Closing the door resets the switch.

Rotary Latches with Handle

With just a push, these latches firmly grip the strike bolt on your door to hold it shut. Also known as single-stage rotary latches, they only have one latching position to keep them closed. Push them hard to make sure they don’t accidentally open. They’re a heavier duty alternative to standard push-to-close latches for use in higher capacity applications. These latches come with a handle attached to the latch—no need to install a cable or rod.

Compression L-Handle Screw Cam Latches

These latches have a screw cam, so you can easily adjust the latching distance and tension. Turn the handle a quarter turn to latch, then another quarter turn to draw the cam firmly against the door or drawer surface. The second turn creates compression to reduce rattling from vibration.

Lift-and-Turn Compression Paddle-Handle Cam Latches

These latches reach full compression when you lift the handle, turn it a quarter turn, and then push it down for a secure hold. Fold the paddle handle into the recess to keep it out of the way when not in use. Often used on cabinet doors and file drawers, these latches have a metal arm that swings to lock. Electronic Remote-Release Wing-Handle Keyed Cam Locks

Wire these locks to a card reader, manual release button, or other access system to remotely open an enclosure door. They have a switch that opens the lock when it receives power from your access system. You can also send a signal to a light, alarm, or other device to let you know when the lock is open or closed. Closing the door resets the switch. In case of an emergency, manually open these locks with a key.

These locks secure your enclosure just like a traditional cam lock—an arm rotates 90° to pin your enclosure shut. This type of lock is commonly called a quarter-turn lock. A wing handle makes it harder to snag straps and other items on these locks than T- and L-handle locks.

L-Handle Keyed Padlockable Roller-Cam Locks

Open and close enclosure doors without the cam sticking and damaging the frame. These locks have a roller cam that rotates more smoothly than straight and offset cams. The cam won't scrape paint off the frame, protecting the items inside your enclosure. It also compresses to absorb vibration and minimize rattling. These locks have an L-handle, so they offer more leverage than T-handle locks for pulling and turning. For maximum security, lock them with a key as well as a padlock.

Style D

For a better grip than wing-handle cam latches, these latches have a T-handle. Their cam turns in one direction to hold doors closed, then in the opposite direction to open them.

L-Handle Keyed Padlockable Cam Locks

Lock with a key as well as a padlock for extra security. These locks have an L-handle, so they offer more leverage than T-handle latches for pulling and turning. Also known as quarter-turn locks, their arm rotates 90° to secure enclosures.

These locks create a tighter hold than traditional cam locks, making them useful for doors that have a seal. Turn the drive a quarter turn to lock, then turn it another quarter turn to create compression and minimize rattling from vibration. Since they lock with a hex key, you don’t need to keep track of a dedicated key.

Adjustable Latching Distance—These locks adapt to a wide range of latching distances, so they're best for tasks when precise distances are unknown. Adjust the position of the cam before you install them. They project further into the enclosure than locks with a fixed latching distance.

Similar to locks on a hotel safe, each user sets a new combination. The combinations can be four to eight digits long. After entering the combination on the keypad, turn the handle to unlatch. Select the turn direction when mounting the cam.
