Viton fluoroelastomer resists boric acid, citric acid, isopropyl alcohol, fuel, oil, and transmission fluid. That makes these gaskets well suited for chemical processing, fuel systems, and automotive applications where lesser elastomers would swell or degrade. Viton also maintains a reliable seal across a wide temperature range, outperforming nitrile and neoprene in high-heat environments.

Gaskets are cut from sheets in two available sizes. Each sheet yields as many same-design gaskets as the layout allows. A 12" x 12" sheet yields up to 20 gaskets; a 24" x 24" sheet yields up to 40. Gasket cross section and bolt hole diameter must be at least 0.093".
