    Hook and Loop Sanding Discs for Stainless Steel and Hard Metals

    The extra-sharp abrasive cuts through hard metals faster than other discs. A hook-and-loop mount lets you switch grits and avoid the waste of adhesive-backed discs, which are done after one use. Pair with a compatible sanding tool or backup pad (sold separately).
    Cloth Abrasive Backing—Resist tearing and hold up to wet sanding better than paper-backed discs.
    Silicon Carbide Abrasive—Super sharp to cut quickly under light pressure. Silicon carbide is hard but brittle, so it tends to wear out sooner than other abrasives.
    Grit—The lower the grit number, the rougher the finish and the duller the appearance. The higher the grit number, the more polished the finish and the more satin or mirrored the appearance.

    Sand complex shapes, corners, and edges with foam discs that conform to your workpiece. The open cell material holds liquid for seamless wet sanding. Discs are also washable, so give them a quick rinse if they clog. The hook-and-loop mount lets you switch grits without waste, unlike adhesive-backed discs. Pair discs with a compatible sanding tool or backup pad.

    Adhesive-Back Sanding Discs for Stainless Steel and Hard Metals

    The abrasive on these discs is sharp and durable enough to cut hard metals without dulling quickly. Press discs onto sanding tools or backup pads for a hold that won’t slip. To ensure the best bond, clean the pad with a mild alcohol—avoid harsh solvents such as MEK and acetone that can damage the adhesive. Also known as PSA discs.
