3M Scotch-Brite Nylon Mesh Sanding Pads for Soft Metals, Plastic, and Rubber

The abrasive reduces heat and buildup for an even finish on soft materials such as aluminum and plastic. Scotch-Brite pads are trusted for everything from heavy rust removal and deburring to blending and paint prep. Also known as nonwoven or surface-conditioning pads, the nylon mesh backing resists clogging and flexes to compensate for uneven sanding pressure.

Silicon Carbide Abrasive—Super sharp to cut quickly under light pressure. Silicon carbide is hard but brittle, so it tends to wear out sooner than other abrasives.

Model Number 7448 Durable Flex—More flexible and last longer than standard 7448 pads. They conform to sand tight corners or contoured surfaces.

Nylon Mesh Grade—Use coarser grades for heavy cleaning, stripping, and deburring. Finer grades remove material more slowly so they're best for gentle cleaning, blending, and finishing.
