    Tamper-Resistant Drilled Spanner Stainless Steel Flat Head Screws

    The unique two-hole design deters tampering. These screws only turn with a drilled spanner driver, making them hard to force with other tools. Also known as pig-nose drives, their two contact points won't withstand much torque, so they're good for light duty tasks. Made of stainless steel, they won't rust or corrode when exposed to moisture and chemicals.
    Length is measured from the top of the head.
    18-8 Stainless Steel—The choice for wet and outdoor environments, these screws won't rust. However, they don't hold up to the harsh chemicals that 316 stainless steel can.
    Standard Profile—Standard-profile heads are the most common choice for flat head screws.
    Undercut Profile—About a third thinner than standard heads, the undercut profile fits into shallow holes in thin material. The thin head also has more threading on the shaft, so they're often used to keep short screws from coming loose.

    Electrical Insulating Screw Starters

    Stay safe if you accidentally touch live electrical circuits when turning small screws. These screw starters have an insulated handle and body that protect against shock up to 1,000 volts and meet IEC 60900 standards. They grab onto screw recesses and hold better than a magnetic screwdriver. However, they’re not intended for final tightening or removal of fasteners.
    Wedge Tip—Slide the sleeve forward along the handle and into the screw head, then pull the sleeve back until the tip splits and grips the screw securely. Once the screw starts threading, the tool releases on its own.
