Meet ASTM standards for use in high-pressure and high-temperature applications. Also known as pressure bolts, these screws are often used to secure pressure tanks, valves, and flanges. With a head that's about 10% wider than standard hex head screws, they handle heavier loads by distributing them over a larger area. The head also has six flat sides to keep wrenches and sockets from slipping and rounding off the drive.
Length is measured from under the head.
High-Strength Fastener—Commonly used to fasten components in valves, pumps, motors, and other high-stress applications. These screws have a tensile strength of 125,000 to 160,000 psi.
ASTM Grade B7—A reliable option for high-temperature machinery, such as boilers, steam turbines, and oil well equipment.
Steel—Unfinished steel screws are best for dry environments, since moisture will cause them to rust. They require little surface prep before applying a finish, so you can apply your own paint or coating.
Grip Length—Screws with a grip length have a precisely measured unthreaded section under the head, called a grip. It's stronger than the threaded section, so you can place it in joints exposed to sideways forces.

Resist corrosion and meet ASTM standards for use in high-pressure and high-temperature applications. Also known as pressure bolts, these screws are often used to secure pressure tanks, valves, and flanges. They're also good for cold temperatures. With a head that's about 10% wider than standard hex head screws, they handle heavier loads by distributing them over a larger area. The head also has six flat sides to keep wrenches and sockets from slipping and rounding off the drive.
Length is measured from under the head.
Highly Corrosion-Resistant ASTM Grade B8M 316 Stainless Steel—Stand up to rust and corrosion better than 18-8 stainless steel. These screws are often used near salt water, on ships, and in plants that handle harsh chemicals.
Grip Length—Screws with a grip length have a precisely measured unthreaded section under the head, called a grip. It's stronger than the threaded section, so you can place it in joints exposed to sideways forces.

    Threaded Rods

Anchor, connect, or hang components in a wide variety of applications, from mounting I-beams to suspending light fixtures.
    Medium-Strength Steel
Image of Product. Front orientation. Threaded Rods. Threaded Rods.
With tensile strengths from 110,000 psi to 125,000 psi, these rods are strong enough for most industrial applications, such as anchoring machinery and connecting pipe flanges. They are about twice as strong as low-strength steel rods. To avoid stripped threads during installation, make sure your nuts are also medium-strength steel.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause these rods to rust.

    High-Strength Stainless Steel
Image of Product. Front orientation. Threaded Rods. Threaded Rods.
Cold worked or heat treated, these rods are about 40% stronger than our other stainless steel rods. All are more corrosion resistant than steel rods and comparable in strength to medium-strength steel.
Wear-Resistant 410 Stainless Steel—Threads won’t strip from repeated fastening and loosening. These rods are not as corrosion resistant as 18-8 and 316 stainless steel, so they are best for environments that experience occasional moisture.

Threaded Rod and Hex Nut Kits for Pipe Flanges

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Threaded Rods. Threaded Rod and Hex Nut Kits for Pipe Flanges.
These kits include the rods and nuts you need to connect standard-size pipe flanges. Their heavy duty material and construction keep tanks, valves, and flanges tightly sealed under heavy pressure. With a 10% wider profile than standard hex nuts, these hex nuts spread force over a larger area and can handle extra torque during installation. The rods are fully threaded to distribute and absorb high levels of clamping force. To ensure your pipe flange connection is tight, add a pipe flange gasket to your installation. These rods and nuts meet a number of rigorous industry specifications for high-pressure performance, high-temperature performance, and dimensional requirements.
    Medium-Strength Steel

With a tensile strength of 125,000 psi, these rods are strong enough for most industrial applications, such as anchoring machinery and connecting pipe flanges. They are about twice as strong as low-strength steel rods.
Corrosion-Resistant PTFE-Coated Steel—A PTFE coating protects the steel from corrosion and pitting when exposed to chemicals, such as those found in cleaners and sanitizers. The coating is also slippery to thread on smoothly.
