The SDS-Plus shank has two deep slots and two shallow slots for use with SDS-Plus-drive rotary hammers. These chisel bits cannot be used with SDS-Max-drive rotary hammers.
Flat Chisel Bit—A wide, flat blade breaks up and removes tile, thinset, and plaster, or scrapes surfaces clean. The wider blade covers more area per strike for faster removal on broad surfaces.
Pointed Chisel Bit—A narrow point concentrates impact force for breaking through concrete, brick, and block. Use it for chipping in tight or precise areas where a flat blade would be too wide.
