Sanitary Cap Nuts

With extremely smooth sides and rounded edges, these nuts are free of crevices where bacteria can grow. Use them to cover and protect exposed threads while fastening parts together. Nuts are certified by EHEDG to meet sanitary design standards. They have a Buna-N seal on the base that keeps liquid, debris, and other contaminants off the threads. The seal is made with metal and chemical additives, so you can find it with a metal detector or X-ray machine if it falls into your line. Also known as acorn nuts, these have a domed head to create a finished look.

Sealing Cap Nuts

Keep liquid, gas, debris, and other contaminants from seeping into or out of machinery, with no need for a separate O-ring. These nuts are often used outdoors to protect enclosures and other equipment from harsh weather. They also withstand high pressure, so they are useful for sealing pneumatic pumps and pressure valves. Also known as acorn nuts, they conceal protruding screw threads while fastening parts together and have a smooth, rounded head for a finished look.

Sealing Twist-Resistant Rivet Nuts

Seal out contaminants and resist torque. These rivet nuts have a PVC foam seal beneath the flange so liquids and gases won't leak between the nut and surrounding material. The ribbed body keeps them from spinning out, even if you frequently tighten or loosen screws.

Install these nuts in a drilled or punched round hole using a rivet nut tool. Choose an air- or battery-powered tool for faster installation or to install many different nut sizes. Length is measured from under the flange.

Lightweight Aluminum—At one-third the weight of steel or brass, use these nuts in applications with strict weight limits, such as robotics and aerospace parts. They resist rust almost as well as stainless steel but aren't as strong.

Conduit Locknut and Reaming Pliers

Tighten locknuts and ream both the inside and outside of conduit with one tool. These pliers have combination jaws with multiple curved openings to work with _1/2" (13 mm) and _3/4" (19 mm) EMT conduit locknuts and _1/2" rigid conduit locknuts and flat nuts. Their machined nose fits snugly into locknut wings. They can also pull wire and fish tape, thanks to their serrated jaws. Pliers have plastic grips for comfort.
