    Plug

    Also known as inductive proximity sensors, these detect metallic objects even if they’re obscured by water, oil, dirt, or a surface finish. Sensing distance is based on the target material. The distance listed is for mild steel. They’re often used with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and produce PNP or NPN signal output. To determine the signal output of a sensor you are replacing, use Testers for Proximity and Photoelectric Sensors (not included).

    PTFE-Coated Brass Housing and PTFE-Coated Stainless Steel Housing—PTFE-coated sensors prevent weld spatter buildup that can trigger false readings or reduce the sensing distance. They will last longer than uncoated sensos in welding environments.
    IP67 Enclosure Rating—IP67 and IP68 rated sensors are protected from temporary submersion.
    Flush Mount—Flush sensors, also known as embeddable or shielded sensors, can be mounted so that the sensor face is level with the surface of any material, including metal. They’re more accurate than projecting sensors at close range and can be mounted close together without causing interference.
    Plug In—Sensors with a plug connect to cables with a socket (sold separately), allowing you to quickly connect and disconnect the sensor.

    Detect aluminum cans, copper tubing, and other metal items that don’t contain iron. These sensors won’t react to objects that contain iron, such as steel machine parts, so they help you avoid false positives on filling lines and other assemblies. For example, they can send a signal to dispense liquid only when an aluminum can is underneath, rather than the end of a tray. Also known as inductive proximity sensors, these sensors detect metallic objects even if they’re obscured by water, oil, dirt, or a surface finish.
    These sensors are designed to mount flush, so that the sensor face is level with the surface of any material, including metal. Their plug connects to cables with a socket (sold separately) so you can quickly connect and disconnect the sensor. To determine the signal output of a sensor you are replacing, use Testers for Proximity and Photoelectric Sensors (not included).

    About half the length of our other flat-body proximity sensors, these sensors fit in crowded spaces and along rails. They’re also known as inductive proximity sensors and can detect metallic objects even if they’re obscured by water, oil, dirt, or a surface finish. Use them to detect if an object is in the correct position before continuing a process or for counting objects as they pass. To determine the signal output of a sensor you are replacing, use Testers for Proximity and Photoelectric Sensors (not included).
    90° Angle—90° angle sensors mount next to your work area to detect objects from the side.
    Straight—Straight sensors mount above or below your work area, making them a good choice to detect objects on your conveyor line.

    Flush Mount—Flush sensors, also known as embeddable or shielded sensors, can be mounted so that the sensor face is level with the surface of any material, including metal. They’re more accurate than projecting sensors at close range and can be mounted close together without causing interference.
    Projecting Mount—Projecting sensors, also known as non-embeddable or unshielded sensors, must be mounted with the area around the sensor face free of metal. They have a longer sensing distance than flush sensors with the same diameter.
