Grinding Wheels for Straight Grinders

Adhesive-Removal Grinding Wheels for Straight Grinders
Quickly remove vinyl, decals, tape, and double-sided molding striping and trim without damaging the surface below. These solid, molded wheels use friction instead of abrasives to prevent scratches and damage. Since friction creates heat, you should not use these wheels with heat-sensitive surfaces.

Heavy-Removal Grinding Wheels for Angle Grinders—Use on Metals
A large grinding surface, combined with a thick layer of rough abrasive removes more material than other wheels. They are also known as Type 11 wheels, flared-cup wheels, snagging wheels, and cup stones.
Wheels are often used to grind weld seams and remove flaws from castings. The full backing provides additional support.
Wheels for steel are aluminum oxide, which is the most common abrasive used in grinding metal.
Wheels for steel and stainless steel are zirconia alumina, which grinds faster and lasts longer than aluminum oxide.
