Corrosion-Resistant Flanged Screw-Clamp Bushings

Made from stainless steel or plated with nickel, these bushings resist corrosion. A mounting flange prevents movement during tightening. As screw-clamp bushings, they're good for shock loads. When you tighten the clamping screws, the bushing's inner sleeve tightens onto the shaft and the outer sleeve expands to hold your sprocket, pulley, or gear.

Nickel-Plated Steel—Nickel-plated steel bushings have good corrosion resistance in wet environments. However, the plating may begin to flake with long-term use.

USS Washers

These washers meet USS sizing specifications and typically have larger diameters than SAE washers. As a result, they accommodate larger screws and nuts and distribute pressure across a wider surface area. They are also thicker, so they withstand heavier loads and span wider gaps when used as spacers.

Brass

Softer than most metals, brass washers won't damage other fastening components.

Nickel-Plated Brass—The nickel plating offers better corrosion resistance than plain brass to stand up to solvents, salt water, and chemicals. The plating can wear off over time, so these washers are not recommended for applications that experience a lot of friction or wear.

Corrosion-Resistant Flush-Mount Screw-Clamp Bushings

Insert these nickel-plated steel bushings into the bore of your sprocket for flush or recessed mounting in wet environments. When you tighten the included clamping screws on these bushings, their inner sleeve contracts onto the shaft and their outer sleeve expands to hold your sprocket, pulley, or gear. This keeps bushings from slipping during sudden starts and stops.
