Wet-Environment Easy-Splice Rope—For Lifting
Also known as Dyneema and comparable to Spectra, this rope is made of high-performance polyethylene that remains strong even when wet. It is often used as a lightweight alternative to wire rope. This rope resists UV rays and will float in water. It's braided with a hollow core, so it's easier to splice than other rope for adding a fitting or connecting rope together. It knots easily and does not rotate under load. A polyurethane coating provides additional resistance to wear in high-friction applications.
Note: The safety factor for capacity is 5:1. Warning: Never use to lift people or items over people.
Long-Life Ultra-Wear-Resistant Rope—For Lifting
Made from a blend of high-performance polyester and polyethylene with a polyurethane coating, this rope has the greatest wear resistance of any rope we offer. It will stand up to high-friction applications, such as lifting heavy loads with a multiple pulley system. In addition to being long lasting, this rope also resists stretching and slipping. The polyester used for this rope is also known as Vectran; the polyethylene is comparable to Dyneema and Spectra. Braided with a hollow core, this rope is easier to splice than other rope when adding a fitting or connecting rope. It does not rotate under load.
Note: The safety factor for capacity is 5:1. Warning: Never use to lift people or items over people.
Wet-Environment Wear-Resistant Rope—For Lifting
Strong even when wet, this rope is a high-performance polyethylene comparable to Spectra and Dyneema. It is commonly used as a lightweight alternative to wire rope due to its superior strength to weight ratio. The braided cover protects the braided core from wear during use. This rope knots easily and won’t rotate under load. Made of polyester, the cover also resists UV rays, rot, oil, and gas.
Polyurethane-coated rope is good for high-friction applications since its coating gives it increased wear resistance. This rope is also core supported, so the rope holds the weight of a load with its core. This means if the cover is damaged, you can repair it without impacting the rope’s capacity.
Note: The safety factor for capacity is 5:1. Warning: Never use to lift people or items over people.
