Stainless Steel Thin Heavy Hex Nuts
Made from 18-8 stainless steel, these nuts have good chemical resistance and may be mildly magnetic. Also known as heavy jam nuts, they are about half the height and 10% wider than standard hex nuts. Use them in low-clearance applications or jam one against another heavy hex nut to hold it in place.

18-8 Stainless Steel Thin Heavy Nylon-Insert Locknuts
These locknuts have good chemical resistance and may be mildly magnetic. About half the height and 10% wider than standard nylon-insert locknuts, these locknuts are considered thin heavy locknuts. Use them in low-clearance applications or jam one against a heavy hex nut to hold it in place. The nylon insert grips the bolt to resist loosening without damaging threads. They're reusable, but their holding power lessens with each use.
