Similar to a printer, these stencil cutters connect to your computer to cut out letters, shapes, and other symbols. Use them with polyethylene, polyester, and vinyl stencil board. They also work with stencil material that has two layers. The blades slice through only the top layer of the material, so the stencil holds together until you’re ready to peel it away from the bottom layer.

Stencil Boards with Adhesive Backing—Adhesive-back rolls have a low-tack adhesive, so you can use the stencil and then move it to a new location or reposition it.

Stencil Boards with Plain Backing—Plain-back rolls are about as thick as a business card, making them more durable than adhesive-back rolls. Because they’re thicker, they create clean, precise edges on your stencil.

Plastic stencils last longer than oilboard stencils. Choose a range of characters from 0-9, A-Z, comma, $, ¢, and blank spaces.

Create messages or logos on your computer, then transfer them to stencils for use with an electrochemical etcher. To make a stencil, print your message or logo on a transfer sheet, place it in the ultraviolet exposure unit with a stencil sheet to transfer the image, then soak the stencil sheet in developer to develop the image.
