3M S-Series hoods are compatible with 3M TR-300, 600, and 800 series respirators.

Bullard 20LF Series—Bullard 20LF series hoods are an alternative to a full-face respirator. They cover your face and the top of your head but not your ears and neck.

Compatible with Bullard CC20 Series—Bullard CC20 series hoods are a good all-around full-coverage option. They efficiently filter out airborne contaminants.

Bullard GR50 Series—Bullard GR50 series hoods are made with Nomex fabric, which is extra durable while still being lightweight and comfortable. They protect you better than hoods made from Tychem 2000 in grinding and sparking applications as well as at high temperatures.

Bullard Sightline Series—Bullard Sightline series hoods have a wraparound lens that gives you 320° of unobstructed peripheral vision. The lens also helps these hoods feel less confining.

Powered Air-Purifying Hood Respirators

The most mobile respirators in our offering—these powered respirators allow a wider range of motion than supplied-air respirators. The blower straps around your waist to allow unrestricted movement. They’re often used for jobs such as painting and applications where you need to move around. Comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, these respirators don’t press directly against your face. They include a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that powers them for approximately four hours. To alert you to low battery and low airflow, they have an alarm with two distinct sounds that can be heard inside the hood.

Made of Tychem 2000 (formerly known as Tyvek QC), these hoods are chemical resistant. They have two layers: an outer bib for overspray protection and an inner bib that tucks into your clothing for splash protection. Turn the knob to adjust the hood’s ratchet suspension for a personalized fit.

Respirator Fit Testers

Check your respirator for a tight seal—these testers help you comply with OSHA guidelines for respiratory protection. Performed at least once a year, fit tests make sure that a respirator is snug against your face and doesn’t leak. These testers use a bitter solution to test whether you can taste or smell it while wearing the respirator. They’re recommended for fit testing half-face respirators being worn near mild hazards. Keep wearing a respirator with the same manufacturer model and size once you pass a fit test, or you’ll need to test again.

If you need a different material or style, select a respirator hood that’s compatible with your respirator. Respirator hoods do not require fit testing, and they leave enough room to fit a ponytail or beard without compromising your respiratory protection. Made of chemical-resistant Tychem 2000 (formerly known as Tyvek QC), these hood respirators have both an outer bib and an inner bib that tucks into your clothing for splash protection. They hook up to your plant's air lines—because you don’t need to draw air through a filter or cartridge, resistance and fatigue are minimized. Respirators have a ratchet suspension that adjusts with an easy-turn knob.

These respirators do not require fit testing. The hood has a loose, comfortable fit that leaves room for a ponytail or beard. Supplied-Air Helmet Respirators for Air Pumps

Protect your head, face, and breathing air from airborne hazards while you work near paint sprayers or abrasive blasters. They connect to an air pump (sold separately), so you can move between areas and work in spots without an air line. At only 2.6 lbs., these respirators are among the lightest available. The inner lens meets ANSI/ISEA standards for impact resistance. The hose (sold separately) connects to the rear of the helmet, so it runs straight down your back rather than pulling to either side. A ratchet suspension lets you adjust the helmet’s fit.

Hazardous Location Powered Air-Purifying Hood Respirators

Designed with a battery that connects securely to the blower, these respirators prevent sparks that could ignite flammable or combustible particles in the air. They’re CSA certified to meet NEC requirements for use in hazardous locations. Instead of being tethered to an air source, the blower straps around your waist, allowing you to move freely around a space. Use them in areas with high levels of contaminants. A dual-alarm system alerts you to low airflow and low battery life.

Made of Tychem 2000 (formerly known as Tyvek QC), these hoods resist chemicals. They have two layers: an outer bib for overspray protection and an inner bib that tucks into your clothing for splash protection. Turn the knob to adjust the hood’s ratchet suspension for a personalized fit.
