Surface Roughness Testers

Test surface finish right on the production line with these portable testers. They measure the most popular parameters, such as Ra, Rp, and Rq, and support ANSI, ISO, JIS, and VDA standards so you can verify finish against customer or industry specifications without converting between systems. Set upper and lower limits for go/no-go readings so operators can quickly accept or reject parts without interpreting raw data. The touch screen makes it easy to set up and review readings.
Testers save up to 10 readings and take 1,000 readings on a single charge, supporting a full shift of portable use away from a workstation. An RS-232C port provides a direct connection to your PC for exporting measurement data to SPC analysis and quality documentation.
Use the SPC data output cable (sold separately) to connect your tester to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor.

Gloss Meters

Confirm that each product is as shiny as the last. These meters measure the gloss of paint and coatings as well as metal, ceramic, and granite surfaces.
Meters with a 20°, 60°, and 85° field of view are compatible with a free app that lets you use your Android device to start and stop recording and send data using Bluetooth.
60° Field of View—Meters with a 60° field of view can evaluate the gloss of most standard, semi-gloss surfaces.
3 ft. Long USB Cord—All meters come with a USB cord to transfer data to PCs.
Calibration Block—These meters come with a calibration block, and you should calibrate them before each reading. Lay the block on a flat surface and press the calibration button on your meter. Position the meter on top of the block, and your meter will calibrate.
Field of View—Meters with a 20°, 60°, and 85° field of view can evaluate low-gloss/matte and high-gloss surfaces in addition to semi-gloss surfaces—their gloss measuring range is 10 times as broad as meters with only a 60° field of view.
