Thick-Wall Plastic Pipe Fittings for Water

Connect these fittings to Schedule 80 pipe. With thicker, stronger walls than standard-wall fittings, they can handle heavy duty supply applications, such as water processing, wastewater treatment, and irrigation. Fittings are plastic for good corrosion resistance. They meet ASTM specifications and testing requirements for material quality.
To prevent leaks in threaded connections, apply a sealant to the male threads. Threaded connections can be taken apart as needed for maintenance and repair. For metal threads, use PTFE tape. For plastic threads, apply a non-hardening, plastic-compatible sealant. Tape or sealants with PTFE are not recommended for plastic-to-plastic connections. When making a threaded connection be careful not to overtighten the threads. To prevent cracks and leaks, finger tighten the fitting, then wrench-tighten one to two turns.
Warning: Never use plastic pipe fittings, flanges, and pipe with compressed air or gas.
Note: For fittings that are not rated for pressure, you can use the pressure rating of the plastic pipe as a reference. Threaded fittings are limited to 50% of the rated pressure of the pipe.

Saddle-tap tee adapters allow you to create additional outlets and connections in metal or plastic pipe. To install, shut down your line and drill a hole in the pipe where you want to create a connection. Position the saddle over the hole so the gasket and lip are fully engaged and secure with the included nuts, bolts, and washers.
Fittings with collar have a stainless steel reinforcement on the female threads to prevent the threads from cracking.
NSF/ANSI 61—To adhere to safety standards for drinking water systems, use pipe that meets NSF/ANSI 61.

Standard-Wall Plastic Pipe Fittings for Water

Connect these fittings to Schedule 40 plastic pipe–they are the industry standard for residential and commercial low-pressure plumbing and water supply applications. They are plastic for good corrosion resistance.
Cut accurate threads using any lathe with a Morse taper tailstock. These two-part tools consist of a holder that grips either a square-shank tap or a round die and a shank that mounts to your tailstock. The holder slides freely along a slot on the shank—also called floating—to reduce stress from driving the tap or die against your workpiece.

    Low-Pressure Aluminum Quick-Connect Pipe Fittings

Twist these fittings onto aluminum pipe for quick, sealed connections—no threading, soldering, or welding necessary. Use them to build a compressed air system in half the time it would take to build a copper or steel system. Also known as Unipipe fittings, they’re part of a quick-connect system that’s compatible with pipe from Unipipe, Transair, and Infinity.
Finger tighten the collar on the end of these fittings, then use a wrench for the final quarter turn. The inside of these fittings has a compression ring and O-ring to seal against the pipe. They’re easy to take apart as needed to modify your setup.

    Tap Collets

    Tap Collets with

    Adjustable Clutch

Swap out taps in seconds to limit machine downtime. These collets snap into a holder with just a push. Pull back on the holder’s sleeve to release the collet—no wrenches or collet nuts required. Taps pop in and out just as easily. Press the ring on the collet’s face to replace worn taps. These collets are often used on CNC machines, manual machines, and tapping arms. Also known as Bilz-style tap adapters, they mount to rigid or compensating tap holders that accept tang-drive quick-change collets.
These collets hold inch and metric taps with shanks that meet ANSI standards. They will not work with taps that have shanks sized to ISO, DIN, or JIS standards.
Tap collets work with both rigid and compensating tap holders.
Tap collets with adjustable clutch automatically stop spinning when they reach the bottom of the hole to prevent broken taps and damage to workpieces. These collets are great for blind holes and they help break up and clear out chips. They should only be used with compensating tap holders. Remove the retaining ring to adjust the torque limit for a specific tap size or workpiece material.

Hold square-shank taps in ER collet chucks and tap holders to create internal threads in workpieces. To hold taps tightly in place, these collets have spring slots that grip the round part of the shank and a square opening in the base that mates with the square end. They meet DIN and ISO dimensional standards.
These collets hold inch and metric taps that have shanks that meet ANSI standards. They will not work with taps that have shanks sized to ISO, DIN, or JIS standards.
52100 Alloy Steel—52100 alloy steel collets are made from the same tough material used to make bearings. They’re more wear-resistant than basic spring steel collets.
Chrome-Moly Steel—Chrome-moly steel collets are more wear-resistant than 52100 alloy steel collets. They hold their shape better over time, which helps them keep a strong grip on taps. They also have lower runout, so your taps last up to 20% longer and create more accurate threads. Often used for high-volume production runs, they hold up to high-speed and high-force tapping in any material.
